We have been successfully producing office supplies for over 70 years. Our home is at the foot of Bern’s local mountain, but who actually is Kolma? Learn more about our history and get to know the faces behind Kolma.

The Kolma brand stands for quality and innovation. In Wabern, we develop and produce our products with passion and expertise, focusing on the highest standards. In addition to products we have made ourselves, we also offer carefully selected trade articles. When doing so, we rely on close and trusting partnerships with long-standing suppliers. Short transport routes and high flexibility are particularly important to us, in order to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible while, at the same time, optimally meet the needs of our customers.

Töpferhaus

We have been working closely with the Töpferhaus Foundation since 2017, which takes care of the filling, labelling, shrinking and palletising of our Cementit products. For us, this collaboration not only provides valuable support in production, but also makes an important contribution to social integration. The foundation supports people with mental disabilities and supports them on their path through professional and social life.

BAND, which acts as a social entrepreneur, has been committed for over 75 years to integrating people with health or social impairments into the world of work. We are proud of the partnership we have maintained with this renowned organisation since 2022. BAND performs various packaging and sorting tasks for us and thereby contributes not only to the quality of our products but also to promoting professional integration and autonomy for their employees.

We have been working closely with the Töpferhaus Foundation since 2017, which takes care of the filling, labelling, shrinking and palletising of our Cementit products. For us, this collaboration not only provides valuable support in production, but also makes an important contribution to social integration. The foundation supports people with mental disabilities and supports them on their path through professional and social life.

History

  • Foundation

    The company is founded by Max Köller.

  • Relocation & initial production

    Relocation to the current location in Wabern and first in-house production (clear-view folder, single lane, 9 cycles per minute).

  • Extension

    Completion and occupancy of a second operational building.

  • Handing over of the baton to the next generation

    Handing over of the baton under the overall responsibility of Max Köller to his son Marc Köller.

  • ISO 9001

    Initial certification to ISO 9001.

  • Extension

    Doubling of the production and logistics area, internal transport and warehouses are automated.

  • Extension

    Two additional, state-of-the-art production plants are put into operation. Conversion of the entire machine park to ultrasonic welding.

  • Cementit

    Takeover of the chief agency of Merz + Benteli AG for Cementit products.

  • Apprentices

    First apprentices at Kolma AG. Since then, we have been providing training in the following professions: - Business management assistant - Logistician - Plant operator - Specialist in operational maintenance

  • ISO 14001

    The environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001.

  • Introduction of LineaVerde

    The sustainable recycling series LineaVerde is introduced.

  • Swiss green electricity

    The company's conversion to 100% Swiss green electricity from hydropower.

  • Change management

    Daniel Crippa takes over the management of the company. Change management leads, among other things, to new organisational structures and digitalisation in various processes.

  • Launch of Kolma Style

    The new product world "Kolma Style" is launched. High-quality and stylisch air mattresses ensure unforgettable moments on the water.

  • Change of ownership

    Daniel Crippa is the new owner of Kolma AG.
